Tap 2

Tap 2 is a continuation of Tap I. Previous tap instruction is required, and student readiness is subject to teacher approval during the first weeks of class. Older students who would like to begin tap, or those who are deemed not ready for Tap 2 should inquire about private lessons to learn the basics of Tap technique and skills. Students will begin learning the intricacies of rhythm, balance, and weight distribution while also continuing the study of tap as a dance discipline. Dancers will delve deeper into the study of tap combinations and patterns, and students will begin understanding the basics of choreography and design.
