Sewing with Kids: Lounge Pants

Service Description

Learning to sew can be intimidating. But it doesn't have to be complicated! The instructor will walk you step-by-step through the sewing process so you can successfully create your project together (and make some special memories!) Your Registration Fee includes instruction from a professional seamstress and teacher and the following supplies for you to keep: Pajama Pant Pattern, Seam Gauge, Tape Measure, Elastic, Sample Fabrics. TO BRING: Sewing Machine. Don't have a sewing machine? No problem! We recommend the Brothers Sewing Machine (Costco and other retailers) -- it's a quality machine at an affordable price. We also have an extra machine or two that you can borrow for this class. Please contact arts@copperhills.org to request a machine. Thread (any color) Bobbins Shears Pins Fabric for your Lounge Pants (please bring TO the first class!). Guidelines for choosing fabric - select either cotton, cotton/polyester or flannel (flannel will shrink more) - prewash your fabric! If your child wears small or medium, bring 1.5 yards of fabric If your child wears large, bring 2 yards of fabric If your child wears extra large, bring 2.5 yards of fabric **if you select a flannel material, add a quarter yard to the total
